SMALL PLATES, BIG IMPACT EVENT at the Mercantile Library

The Rothenberg School Rooftop Garden Program invites you to Small Plates, Big Impact — an evening of food, fun, and relaxation at the historic Mercantile Library on Tuesday evening May 24, 2016 from 6:30 to 9 PM. This fundraising event brings together 150 guests who share the mission of a unique garden classroom on the roof of Over-the-Rhine’s historic and beautiful Rothenberg School. Our focus is schooling in a garden, not gardening in a school.

Enjoy a live music from the Faux Frenchmen, wine from Cutting Edge Selections, and beer along with small plates by great local chefs from National Exemplar, The Presidents Room, La Soupe, the Eagle, 3 Sweet Girls Cakery, the Sweeterie & others. We will also celebrate the Dardens –an active OTR family that has lived in the community for years and has been instrumental in rallying parent and community participation for the children at Rothenberg.

Moreover, we hope you can join us for a casual evening in a gem of a location among fun and passionate individuals who share our education mission: to provide privately-funded educational resources to the 400+ students of this pre-K – Grade 6 school. 98% of Rothenberg Academy students are from economically disadvantaged homes.

Guest admission to Small Plates, Big Impact is $50 per person, with all proceeds to help students’ critical thinking and literacy skills through the hands-on curriculum in the Rothenberg Rooftop School Garden.
